Past Law Enforcement & the FutureDanise Wallace became a Level 2 Senior- Licensed Private Investigator in Colorado-after working for various law enforcement agencies to include the DPD as a Property & Evidence Technician. She worked as a peace officer In Texas for many years prior to moving to Colorado in 2000. During her career she developed expertise in many areas including: Routine patrol,
criminal investigations, Undercover operations in narcotics, stolen property stings and various other crimes. She was a member of the STAR unit (Special Tactics and Response) while at BPD, where she worked plain clothes investigations and tactical operations with her team. Her career spanning over the years included working in plain clothes capacity as a narcotics agent (Deputy sheriff) on a 9-county drug task force and uniform patrol. While working the task force- she helped take down meth labs and marijuana crops in Texas. She made undercover buys and then obtained warrants for the suspects and make arrest. After leaving law enforcement, she worked as an investigator for law firms and later in 2000 moved to Colorado. In 2004 she went to work for DPD as a Certified Property & Evidence Technician. She handled all incoming evidence to include several homicide cases. While at DPD, she obtained her Evidence certification and sometimes assisted Detectives with collection at crime scenes and search warrants. Danise has attended various training's to include crime scene processing, narcotics; the management of asset & forfeitures, various criminal investigative courses, accident reconstruction, child abuse core training's, managing -evidence and crime scene investigations and certification in the handling, collection and preservation of evidence for criminal cases. Danise’s investigations have ranged in complexity from routine traffic accidents to theft, fraud, assault, burglaries, motor vehicle theft, domestic violence, child abuse, felony assaults, surveillance, sexual assault, arson, robbery, kidnapping, missing persons and homicide and expertise in evidence. While at DPD she trained Peace Officer-new hires/ recruits in the field of evidence collection. preservation and procedure.
