Want to know more about Danise and why she chose law enforcement as a career ? And why she still works to help others on cases in the private sector: A tragedy changed her life when she was a teenager and set her life on a special course. Her father Danny went missing from a barge on Galveston Bay in 1978. In 1979 a body was found on the shore of Matamoros, Mexico. There was never a definite identification of the body, or a ruling on cause of death in conflicting autopsies reports and statements that were given the day of his demise. The skull of the body was damaged in a way that seemed to strongly indicate foul play. An acquaintance finally confessed his guilt to a family member. At 19 years of age, she tried speaking to the officers and yet, they wouldn't listen. Danise began to discover a complicated process and to this day can't explain the resistance of investigators to pursuing the case. She resolved to acquire as much documentation as she possibly could and tried everything in her power to force the authorities to act, to write an investigative report, to perform the duties of their office, to no avail. A police report has not been located. Decades of anguish over being unsure that her father's body had been positively identified, or being able to bring a possible killer to justice. The lack of attention or legitimacy given to his case has inspired Danise to write her story (manuscript); not only for herself, but for those seeking answers regarding the missing, the deceased and their cases. As of 2018, her manuscript is a work in progress and nearing it's completion. She is very excited about the possibility of its publication. When asked about the manuscript: She says writing it has helped her in overcoming grief, loss and helps heal the past; though she may never find the needed closure. She said "It's a way to give my Dad a voice. Danise follows missing persons cases and cold cases as well. If you'd like to speak to her about a case, please give her a call.

COLD CASE MISSING:
There are time's it feels like Lady Justice has remained hidden, especially in cases where the person has been missing for years and law enforcement doesn't have the time or resources to devote to the case.
Original evidence is lost.
The first hours in a missing persons case, Is the most important part of the investigation. It is also the time when critical evidence can be lost/ In which it creates huge deficits in finding the person or obtaining answers.
When the officer fails to take or write a report, it can be detrimental to the case.
Report missing persons immediately !

LACK OF TRANSPARENCY WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT CASE FILES:
THINGS THAT YOU MAY HEAR!
When Law Enforcement fails to Investigate- fails to write a report on the missing Person in a timely manner. At times when there is
Inter-agency, (multiple agencies involved), jurisdiction and conflicting autopsies all create huge issues -making the case difficult.
These types of issues, leave us feeling; like we are kept in the dark. At times Causing so many deficits and our chance of finding justice.
Losing a loved one is very detrimental, horrible tragedy and having to fight law enforcement for help, should never be an issue.
It's been Danise's experience that when law enforcement has gone home and left the case sitting on the shelf; That is when you should call a private investigator, who will then follow up on all the information in the case. Get the interviews that you need from witness's or others. Follow up on the time line, location and any other evidence that leads to the whereabouts of the loved one.
Yes these investigations can get expensive, but by you requesting the reports and statements that law enforcement used at the time of the investigation, saves a lot in resources; Making it more affordable.
